Is Facebook Destroying Marriages?

Psychologists claim that reconnecting with old flames on Facebook and trading personal stories within a short time can lead to deepened intimacy, which can then easily lead to physical contact.

Although marriages that are already strained are most vulnerable, even people entering into Facebook contact with the most innocent intentions, and marital discord can get carried away from mere talking to a full fledged affair.

  1. People are having affairs because they are unhappy, facebook is a tool, not the cause. If your are going to chat, your going to chat no matter what. Facebook just makes it easier.
If there is something that a person would not do in terms of a face-to-face relationship they should not do it on Facebook. Otherwise, they are starting down a path which can have extremely negative consequences.
