Another round of beers, please.

It's a regular friday night. After five long days of work, another beer sounds like a great idea. As the golden draught is being passed around, a most interesting topic raises from the massive amount of chit-chat that has already been uttered that night. Halfway through a sentence, your mind suddenly goes on tilt. You wanted to say something in regards to the subject, but a slight detail slipped your mind, fell down on the tip of your tongue, but refuses to be spoken. No matter how hard you think, you realize that there is no way you will recall that specific name or date. At least not tonight ... After all, who cares about details, right?

Right, so you take out your brand new 3G mobile phone start digging through wikipedia pages. After a five-minute quest for glory, you suddenly find the answer and throw it in the discussion. No one seems to care. Heck, most of them don't even remember what you were saying anyway. Although it matters next to nothing, you feel relieved and happy about not having to torture your brain for the rest of the night.

Well, this is what we go through about every weekend ... multiple times. When this sudden urge for geekyness takes over, resistance is futile! Luckily, some of the people in these discussions feel exactly the same way.
