Seems like it's time to pay taxes for Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. Sources say that he might sell $1.7 billion of the social networking site's stock in the company's initial public offer to pay the taxes. This will happen when he exercises options to buys 120 million shares.

According to the IPO prospectus of California-based Company, the Menlo Park, the chief executive officer of Facebook will be bound to pay taxes on the profits regarding the award of options. Mark Zuckerberg was given access to these options in 2005. He plans to sell the stock in order to cover up the liabilities. These options will expire in 2015.
It is understood that all the gains that Mark Zuckerberg receives after such a sale will pay off the taxes that he will provoke while exercising options to buy 120 million shares. Mark Zuckerberg is one of the richest people in the world and the stake in Facebook amounts to around $28.4 billion.

Zuckerberg's company announced to raise $5 billion through an IPO on 1st February. It is now considering a valuation of $75 billion to $100 billion. With the valuation ending on such a high level, each outstanding share is estimated to be around $39.79.

Mark Zuckerberg's tax rate is also expected to touch 35percent.

My college roommate and I have stared to tweet and post to Facebook whenever we come across eco-friendly products that are available but that may not yet be in mainstream awareness. It started because we used to tell one another when we found such products. Gradually, as we started to share what we found with some other friends, they were so interested that we realized we might as well really spread the word as much as possible. We've made some new friends this way, too, and people are starting to add products that they come across themselves. Yesterday, for example, someone mentioned how their parents had bought eco-friendly Empire carpet, as well as sustainable flooring from Empire Today. Another person added non-toxic make -up from 100% Pure. So it's become a nice social network of like-minded people who are eager to know of more such products and eager to share about them when they come to know of them. As you can see the list includes products that are made without toxins, including food. In that regard, we're always really excited to find out about snack foods that are made with healthy ingredients. As our social network is constantly re-affirming, being green is getting easier…and tastier!

Across Mexico thousands of protestors took to the streets in a stand against the wave of drug-related killings that have plagued the country. The demonstrations were triggered by the murder of the son of poet Javier Sicilia, and were organized via social networking sites. The protest in the Mexican capital mobilized over 5,000 people who marched to the National Palace, the seat of the government of conservative President Felipe Calderon.

There was no organization, political party or TV station behind the protest, and the mainstream media play a reluctant role as guests in what was a grassroots movement organized over 48 hours in Twitter and Facebook. The call for the protest was launched by poet Javier Sicilia, who writes for the weekly newspaper Proceso, after his 24 year old son was killed along with six other people on March 28 in drug-related violence.
